The primary goal of the Practice Steering Committee is work to remove barriers that prevent nurses from practicing to the full extent of their education and training by working with nursing and consumer organizations as well as other healthcare professionals

LAC strategic Practice goals:

• Educate the public on the role and value of high-quality, affordable nursing care.

• Secure third-party reimbursement for APRN services.

• Promote full scope of practice for all nurses.

• Foster partnerships with other professionals in the health care system.

• Promote alignment of Louisiana Statute and Rules with APRN Consensus Model.
