LAC Steering Committees - Interprofessional Partnerships

Interprofessional Partnerships

LAC is working with other groups to ensure that, as health care delivery evolves, nurses are included as essential members of the health care team. With the Core Leadership Team, the committee planned and executed a statewide health care summit in January, 2015, during which nurses, physician assistants and physicians discussed successful health care delivery in Louisiana.

LAC strategic Interprofessional Partnerships goals:

  • Foster effective nurse leadership on health and professional organizations

  • Create a speakers bureau of nurse experts on key topics.

  • Initiate interprofessional leadership training.

  • Cosponsor the national IHCA meeting in Louisiana.

  • Present an annual award to recognize interprofessional achievement.
